When to shoot? Spring conditions are warm on the coast and cool in the mountains. Summers are hot and humid with frequent thunderstorms and fogs. Coastal North Carolina experiences hurricanes. Fall colors can be found in the forests of the Appalachian Mountains. Winters are short and mild with some snow at higher altitudes.
Crew and Equipment. North Carolina has a good pool of local crew as well as all of the standard grip, lighting and camera gear for hire. Charlotte and Wilmington are the main production service centers.
