Turks and Caicos Film Location Permits. Permitting is a quick and easy process. Most locations are possible given time, money and the right approach. Please contact us for location specific information.

When to shoot? Turks and Caicos has a tropical climate tempered by trade winds. The islands experience 350 days of sunshine every year, with little variation in temperatures. Turks and Caicos is generally warmer with less rain and humidity than its Caribbean neighbors. The driest period is from December to June. The wet season is from July to November, with little actual rainfall, but still the chance of a hurricane. For monthly weather statistics please see here.

The Big South Regatta is held in May.

Costs. Local costs are relatively expensive since most goods need to be imported. Since little to no filming infrastructure exists all key crew and equipment must be brought in from abroad. Local transport is expensive. Accommodation particularly during the busy dry period can also be very expensive. Turks and Caicos trades in the USD. Our Turks and Caicos Islander fixer will negotiate local deals and provide the appropriate level of production support to match every budget.

Talent day rates and buyouts are negotiable. The official language is English. Turks and Caicos has a small pool of talent looks consisting mainly of Afro-Caribbean and some Caucasian looks. All other talent needs to be brought in from abroad. There are no casting agencies. Street casting is required.

Crews. Turks and Caicos has a very small pool of directors, videographers and stills photographers. Turks and Caicos only has some supporting crew. Key crew needs to be brought in. Miami is the closest major production centre only a 1.5hr flight away should you need to look further.
