Film Location: Milwaukee Art Museum

Written on July 16, 2013

Milwaukee Art Museum

Milwaukee Art Museum, located on Lake Michigan is an icon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Designed by world renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, this film-friendly location offers the impressive Quadracci Pavilion and Reiman Bridge. An interesting feature of the structure is the Burke Brise Soleil’s ability to open and close, offering beautiful time-lapse footage as in the below example.

Film Permits

Film location permits are issued on a case by case basis and costs are negotiable depending on the specifics of the shoot. For more on filming at the Milwaukee Art Museum, see here.

When To Shoot?

Now is a great time to film with long, sunny, summer shoot days.

See below for an example of a Lexus TV commercial shoot serviced this time last year.

Crew and Equipment

Standard film crew and equipment are available in Milwaukee and the Chicago area. If you’re looking for a Milwaukee based fixer or production service company, or require shooting crew from the Lake Michigan region, contact us for recommendations.
