Written on August 30, 2012

Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is an awe inspiring rock formation 5mins drive from the centre of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Film locations of note include the Cathedral Spires, Steamboat Rock, Keyhole Window, and Tower of Bable. Garden of the Gods has several interesting trails including the Perkins Central Garden Trail, Ridge Trail, Siamese Twins Trail, Chambers / Bretag / Palmer Trail, and the Scotsman / Buckskin Charlie Trail.

Colorado Springs has over 300 days of sunshine and blue skies. Autumn brings golden and orange fall leaves. Snowy mountain backdrops can be found between October and May.

The location is popular for hiking, rock climbing, road and mountain biking and horseback riding. It attracts more than two million visitors a year.

The park is well maintained giving film crews easy access to services and remote looking locations.
