World’s Largest Outdoor Pool

The Crystal Lagoon, located at the San Alfonso del Mar Resort in Algarrobo, Chile, is the world’s largest outdoor pool. The pool holds a massive 66 million gallons (250 million litres) of water. Stretching 0.62 mi (1 km) long and covering 20 acres (8 ha) The Crystal Lagoon is six times larger than the world’s second largest pool. It is also the world’s deepest pool at 115 feet (35m).

Algarrobo is a 2 hour drive from Chile’s film production service centre Santiago where all crew and equipment would come from.

Accommodation is available on the premises as are props such as sailboats, jet skis and kayaks.

November to March are the best months to film with hot summer days and long daylight hours.
