APOKRYFO comes from the Greek definition of “a hidden away… kept secret”, a fitting name for this secluded property. It is a unique hideaway located at the edge of the picturesque village of Lofou, in the foothills of Mount Olympus, Cyprus.

This boutique hotel is made up of a cluster of old stone houses that have been painstakingly renovated by the owners, local architect Vakis Hadjikyriacou and his interior designer wife Diana.

The wide range of accommodation includes suites, one room studios and two and three bedroom houses, all are equipped with satellite TV, DVD/CD player, Wi-Fi internet, king size beds, central heating and air conditioning, several rooms have fireplaces and others have private courtyards. Apokryfo can accommodate up to 30 people making it a perfect location for individual bookings, family groups and small private functions.

The AGRINO restaurant, serves Cypriot cuisine full of originality, in the summer guests can dine on the rooftop terrace overlooking the village or in the courtyard by the pool.

Guest activities include a fully equipped gym with sauna and steam bath, massage and beauty treatments by appointment, a library complete with board games and DVDs and walking maps for the surrounding area.

Apokryfo’s village mountain location and romantic setting is perfect for celebrating special occasions. The Makrinari function room can accommodate up to 30 guests for meetings and seminars and is fully equipped with audio visual, projection equipment, air conditioning, heating and a wood burning fireplace. The exterior courtyard around our pool can accommodate approximately 90 guests for sit down lunch or dinner.

Apokryfo has been part of the Alpha Mega Campaign 2015, a big Supermarket in Cyprus and many other big companies have stayed at our hotel organising conferences and parties such as the MTN which is one of the largest telecommunications providers in Cyprus.

Also all the other common areas of the hotel (the Agrino restaurant, the pool courtyard, terrace bar and spa) can be used for various functions, depending on the clients’ needs.
