Pioneer Plaza, Dallas

Dallas is a vibrant city with much to offer visiting international filmmakers and photographers.

One such film location is Pioneer Plaza, located in a public park in the Convention Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas. The plaza celebrates the trails that brought settlers to Dallas. Cast in bronze, the sculptures feature three cowboys and a herd of forty larger than life longhorn steer. The location also features a waterfall, cliffs, and native plant life.

Large footprint shoots through to small B-roll shoots at Pioneer Plaza require film permits from the City of Dallas. Drone filming is prohibited in the entire Dallas downtown area.
