Brenham is located in Washington County, Texas about halfway between Houston and Austin. It is approximately 70 miles (110 km) northwest of Houston, about 90 miles (140 km) east of Austin, and 150 miles (240km) east of San Antonio.

Brenham has a thriving, well maintained historic downtown, with a variety of beautiful small-town America shop-fronts. The location is ideal for any production seeking to film nostalgic main street America looks.

The surrounding areas are known for their picturesque green rolling hills, fields of blossoming bluebonnets in early spring, pecan trees, vineyards, and rural back roads.

Nearby Chappell Hill holds an annual Bluebonnet Festival in April and a Scarecrow Festival in October.
