Minnesota is home to almost 12000 lakes. Lake Superior is the largest. During especially cold winters Lake Superior’s cliffs become spectacular ice caves. Parks of note include Gooseberry Falls State Park, Minneopa State Park, Itasca State Park, Jay Cooke State Park, and Voyageurs National Park.
