Oxford, Mississippi
The Oxford Courthouse Square is a historic district located in Oxford, Mississippi. In the centre of The Square sits the Lafayette County Courthouse. It is surrounded but a variety of restaurants and elegant boutiques including the south’s oldest department store. For films and TV shows looking for a beautifully maintained All-American Small Town USA location, The Square is an impressive option. Other than street-level shots on the square, the best photography angle that captures the courthouse and surrounding buildings is from the rooftop of The Coop.
Included among a long list of cultural and historic sites is Rowan Oak, the house of author William Faulkner.
Oxford is home to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), which is the main life of the city. The Grove is the tailgating area located at the center of the campus.
When to shoot?
