Pacific Science Center
Built for the 1962 World’s Fair the Pacific Science Center is a world renowned science museum, tourist attraction, and historic landmark in Seattle, Washington.
The museum is composed of eight buildings, including two IMAX theaters. The location is best known for its iconic arches, designed by Minoru Yamasaki (later lead architect of New York’s World Trade Center).
The fountains located at the entrance of the center appeared in the movie It Happened at the World’s Fair with Elvis Presley.
The Pacific Science Center is available as a film location for both small and large footprint shoots.
Both interiors and exteriors are possible to film.
Drone filming of the Pacific Science Center is possible from outside of the location, but not inside.
Filming can only take place outside of operating hours. That means before 10am open and after 5pm (or 6pm) close, depending on the day / season.
Film permit costs are decided on a case by case basis.
For the permanent structure, there are no rights issues concerning royalties for architects or other artists.
Contact the location directly for specific and up to date permitting information.
