Film Location: Milwaukee Art Museum

Written on July 16, 2013

Milwaukee Art Museum

Milwaukee Art Museum, located on Lake Michigan is an icon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The impressive Quadracci Pavilion and Reiman Bridge are designed by world renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. The Quadracci Pavilion contains a movable, wing-like brise soleil that opens up for a wingspan of 217 feet (66 m) during the day, folding over the tall, arched structure at night. The feature makes for beautiful time-lapse photography as in the below example. The Milwaukee Art Museum also includes buildings by Kahler and a more recent expansion by Shields.

Film Permits

Film location permits are issued on a case by case basis and costs are negotiable depending on the specifics of the shoot. For more on filming at the Milwaukee Art Museum, see here.
