Alang Alang, Elite Beach Villas

Casa Alang Alang is an Elite Beach Villa located on a private, secluded hillside at the entrance of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. A 5 minute walk from town and the beach, the location offers breathtaking views of the Tamarindo estuary and Pacific Ocean all the way north to Playa Grande.

The house was constructed in a Balinese style and built with materials imported from Indonesia. Casa Alang Alang is approximately 15,000 square feet and sleeps up to 19 people in great comfort and style, with a unique blend of privacy and common areas. The house has 8 bedrooms and 8½ bathrooms. The spacious living area can be opened / closed partially or completely depending on weather conditions. This inside living area contains a large ironwood table for dining as well as a comfortable sofa for relaxing and both seat up to 12 people. Casa Alang Alang has two pools one with overflowing lap pool of 21 m, an integrated jacuzzi and ending in a Bale with double loungers to hang out. The pool on the main floor overflows on 4 sides giving the impression of a giant mirror looking towards the ocean.

Casa Alang Alang also has a 51’ Power Cat yacht available for filming.

Eco-Friendly

Costa Rica is one of the most eco-friendly nations in the world. As far as Casa Alang Alang goes, a pure water system has been set up so guests can drink from taps instead of using plastic bottles. All-natural insecticide is used to keep the mosquitoes away. 

Film Permits

Alang Alang Elite Beach Villas has hosted a range of productions as well as famous artists, singers, models and football players. Permission to film at this location can be sought directly from the owners. Drone filming is permitted. The price of the house rental also includes full access to film. Typically, there is no additional location fee to film at this location.

San Jose is the closest major film production centre where local crew and equipment need to come in from, a 4hr drive away.
