Four Aces Film Set: Mojave, California

Written on April 9, 2013

Four Aces Film Set

The Four Aces Movie Ranch is a professional film set located in the Mojave Desert, California. The location features a middle-of-nowhere classic Route 66 style diner, 1950′s era motel with three dressed motel rooms and a reception office, a western honky tonk bar, a truck stop restroom, a courtyard, a gas station including old pumps, a selection of old picture cars, working retro neon signs and a Joshua tree out front.

Film Location Permits

The Four Aces is well removed from main roads and can be entirely closed off for filming. Filming permits are to be obtained through Film LA.

When to Shoot?

The weather remains great for year-round filming with July the warmest month and December the coldest.

Crew & Equipment

Crew and equipment come from Los Angeles, a 1.5hr drive away. Despite the remote look of the location most services can be found 15mins away in the city of Palmdale. The location car park can accommodate up to 60 cars and trucks.

If you are looking to film at the Four Aces or anywhere else in the Los Angeles area and require a shooting crew, film fixer or full production service support, please contact us.
