Film Locations. Wyoming Film Location Permits. There are no state-wide permits. Permits are required for filming on federal and state lands. Filming on Indian Reservations requires the permission of tribal authorities. Proof of insurance is required. Please contact us for location specific information.

When to shoot? Wyoming has a dry and windy climate. Snow on the mountains can be found from December to April. Summers are mild.

Cheyenne Frontier Days takes place in July.
