Messner Mountain Museum Corones
The Messner Mountain Museum Corones is located on the summit plateau of Mount Kronplatz. Created by Reinhold Messner and designed by Zaha Hadid, the museum is devoted to mountain history and also offers unique views of the great mountain walls of the Dolomites and the Alps of South Tyrol, Italy.
The Messner Mountain Museum Corones is open from the first Sunday of June to the second Sunday of October and from the end of November to mid-April (corresponding to the opening hours of the ropeways). Opening hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m, seven days a week. Filming is only possible outside of opening hours. If you need to shoot during opening hours special accommodations may be granted under exceptional circumstances, at extra cost. The best time of year to shoot is a week before the museums open and the week after the museum closes.
The museum has previously hosted a handful of fashion and commercial shoots. Other than that, Messner Mountain Museum Corones is a new location that has not yet hosted any major film shoots.
All the 6 seats of Messner Mountain Museum are to be reached by foot, so in the spirit of walking, car commercials are not permitted at this location.
